Fatigue tests monitoring on carbon/epoxy composites
Fatigue testing (3 Hz) with R=0,1 or 0,5 and stresses equal to 60-80 % of ultimate tensile stress on quasi-isotropic (0°, ± 45°, 90°) carbon-epoxy specimens
An acoustic emission system (VALLEN AMS3) followed the progression of damage throughout the test
C- Scan showed the evidence of delamination from the level of transmission on specimens borders
Edge replication technique allowed us to discern the presence of delaminations and cracks on the different plies
